The Sleeping Beauty ranks among the top of Russian choreographic classics. From the day of the premiere showing more 100 years ago, "The Sleeping Beauty" has been staged worldwide charming audiences with the poetry and depth of content, great beauty of music and dance, magic of fantastic atmosphere.
S. Perrot's known fairy tale is about the fine princess Aurora who is taken care of since her childhood by the kind fairies. And even the malicious witch wishing death to the princess, is powerless before all-consuming force of the good. The malicious charm sends Aurora and the entire kingdom to sleep as she pricks her finger on the spoke. The kiss of the prince in love with her, sent by the good fairy, will wake her up. The good wins over the evil. Everybody triumphs on the occasion of the wedding between the prince and the princess.
