The Legend of Love
ballet The show is a beautiful Eastern legend of two sisters. One of them, Queen Mekhmeneh Bahnu, sacrifices her beauty to save the other sister from death. Soon they both get to love a beautiful young man. Jealousy and suffering overcome Mekhmeneh Bahnu, and she stands in the way of Shyrin, her sister's love for Ferkhad. She tells him that he will get Shyrin for a wife if he breaks a mountain that blocks the way to the water. In the end, after her sister entreats her, the Queen decides not to stand in the way of the loving couple's way and allows Ferkhad to leave his hard work. But the noble young man can not leave and betray the hope of the people who suffer without water.
